ICS Army Dress - Officer

Part of one of the most disciplined and modernized defense forces in the entire universe, the Interstellar Covenanted States, Interstellar Defense Force ceremonial military dress code hearkens back to a time where on the home planet, democracy was under attack and a people under occupation.

Based on the Flintlock era of musketry and chivalry over four hundred years prior to the founding of the Interstellar Covenanted States, the Dress Standard brings a reminder of the hardships the young democracy faces as it too stands at a crosswords in history where democracy and personal freedom are assaulted and tested everyday.

The ceremonial dress is simple:
The white uniform represents liberty, good fortune and a bright future while red represents the birthright of Planet Costellon, home world to the ICS. The color black represents defense in war, and the color gold represents wealth and honor.

Enlisted men wear a red collar trim about their necks, while officers where black and officers in command - anyone above the rank of lieutenant - wear gold.

Rank is denoted on all levels by the soldier on the right of a patrol - usually meaning when you see two soldiers, the one on the right has a higher rank, and to attain higher ranks as enlisted men means to become better disciplined, put in more hours of training; and better yourself on the field of battle.

Officers receive special privileges, such as private quarters, combat escort during peacetime or in occupied territories; and better food.
