The Covenatrian military banner is considered a very political flag in the Covenanted States, and as such, it is controversial to see why so many religious elements exist on this one flag.

The banner's yellow-gold stripes are a symbol of the ancient nation of Amentlan, or Prayer Nation, which has been evoked time and again by many as the "Kingdom of God." The Amentlanites have long been seen as a myth, like Atlantis to us Earthlings.

The red stripes are symbols of the two leaders of the Covenanted States who gave their lives for the country: Malkon II, and his brother Persepoli. Both religious and political figures in the Covenanted States' Naez Centum, the judicial branch, and Shalot Centoria, the sitting congress.

The emblem, known as the "Screaming Phoenix" is the national bird of the country. This type of phoenix, known as the Gold-tailed, has seen more than its fair share of holy uses well into the age of the Covenanted States, in everything from ancient healing rituals, to releasing phoenixes at someone's birth and death.

The black field and gold laurels represent the freedom of Bahnkind, the founding race of the nation and its military, and the darkness that comes with war. The flag all together represents darkness in war being enlightened by peace.
