To meet the world with open arms.
Stay our swords and lower our shields.
To make our foes into allies.

It is good to die for one's country.
Carried by our shields and by our fathers.
In a world unchanged.

The wise man works for one's country.
As artists and teachers.
As leaders and heroes.

Man has been lent this life, not given.
It does not last.
Else we shall meet in the next.

We should not falter in this life.
Be open to kindness, that we shall die in peace.
